Dear Gateway/400 Group Member:
While the economy has been challenging, we've had another good year for the Gateway/400 Group.
We still have an active membership and good turnout for our meetings.
Membership in our group is still the best investment in IT education your company can make.
We had some excellent speakers and topics in 2011 and 2012 will be just as good.
We hope you and your employees will come to the meetings, learn and enjoy the opportunity to network with your peers.
This month we will have Best New Session Award winning speaker Kevin Mort - Pimp my i. Last month was Jon Paris with “PHP for RPG Developers”.
Next month John Earl followed by Tom McKinley. We've even had presentations from your local peers.
Come join us. We have several outstanding industry speakers booked for the upcoming year. Many of the handouts for the older presentations are still available on the website if you need them. Education like this in a mini-Common 1-day seminar would cost almost $400 per person. Lunch and a front seat ticket to hear all of these speakers are included in your membership fee. Most speakers also allow you to contact them with questions after the presentations – this is another great value.
Dues again this year will be only $200 for your company to join with 1 membership and $175 for each additional membership. This allows employees from your company to attend the luncheon monthly meetings and our all day seminars. We have done some cost cutting by holding our meetings at Spazio and going with a boxed lunch format for most. We have also had some remote presentations and will have more in the future. This saves paying travel costs for speakers. These cost saving measures are working for the group.
We appreciate your understanding as we try to keep our costs under control while investing in high quality speakers. One great membership benefit is it also gives you COMMON membership. This grants you elevated access to the COMMON website, webinars, and conferences at a member’s price. Your participation is making our group as strong as ever. There are ways you can continue to help. Volunteer and give us feedback about what you like and want to hear, tell your colleagues about our group, and please renew your membership for 2012.
Sincerely,
Craig Jacquez, President Gateway/400 Group
